Extra Features - Passcode Security Lock
QuickBAS Lock function
- By default, QuickBAS does not have a passcode lock activated
- If you use QuickBAS in a group setting, you may wish to activate the passcode lock
- The passcode will secure QuickBAS so its sheets are not accessible to others
- With a passcode set, QuickBAS will always start up in locked mode
- Access the Passcode by clicking on the white padlock icon on the BAS manager

Set a Passcode
- Click on the white padlock icon on the BAS Manager sheet
- Click on the Settings button
- Click on the “Use Passcode” checkbox
- if you are changing a passcode, you will need to enter your old passcode first
- type you new passcode (twice) and click Save
- When you have a passcode set, the padlock icon on the BAS Manager turns blue
* Ensure you remember or keep a record of your passcode! *
- Click on the white padlock icon on the BAS Manager sheet
- Click on the Settings button
- Click on the “Use Passcode” checkbox
- if you are changing a passcode, you will need to enter your old passcode first
- type you new passcode (twice) and click Save
- When you have a passcode set, the padlock icon on the BAS Manager turns blue

Lock QuickBAS
- Once you have set a passcode, you can lock QuickBAS at any time
- On the BAS Manager sheet, click on the blue padlock icon
- Click on the “Lock Now” button to lock QuickBAS
- The blue icon changes to a locked padlock, and QuickBAS features are not accessible
- With a passcode set, QuickBAS will always start in locked mode
- Once you have set a passcode, you can lock QuickBAS at any time
- On the BAS Manager sheet, click on the blue padlock icon
- Click on the “Lock Now” button to lock QuickBAS
- The blue icon changes to a locked padlock, and QuickBAS features are not accessible

Unlock QuickBAS
- If QuickBAS is locked, you will see a locked blue padlock icon
- Also, each worksheet has a locked padlock, and no other sheets are accessible
- To unlock, click on the padlock icon or any worksheet
- On the unlock screen, type your passcode and click Unlock
- The icon becomes an unlocked padlock and all features are unlocked
- If QuickBAS is locked, you will see a locked blue padlock icon
- Also, each worksheet has a locked padlock, and no other sheets are accessible
- To unlock, click on the padlock icon or any worksheet
- On the unlock screen, type your passcode and click Unlock
- The icon becomes an unlocked padlock and all features are unlocked
Remove a Passcode
- Click on the blue padlock icon on the BAS Manager sheet
- Click on the Settings button
- Un-tick the “Use Passcode” checkbox
- You need to enter your existing passcode
- click Save
- The padlock icon on the BAS Manager turns white, indicating no passcode set
- QuickBAS can now be accessed by anyone, without security
- Click on the blue padlock icon on the BAS Manager sheet
- Click on the Settings button
- Un-tick the “Use Passcode” checkbox
- You need to enter your existing passcode
- click Save
- The padlock icon on the BAS Manager turns white, indicating no passcode set
- QuickBAS can now be accessed by anyone, without security
